There is a favorite I return to time and time again – the smothered chicken ($12.99). This dish features two seasoned chicken breasts topped with sauteed mushrooms, green and red peppers, and onions, all smothered with mozzarella cheese. The dinner comes with a choice of potato and soup or salad. It's hard to pass up any of Sunfield's cream-based soups. The cream of chicken soup is one of the best in the area, and so is its potato soup. If you dine in, a basket of bread and crackers is placed at your table to start your meal. My dinner companion ordered a hot turkey sandwich, which is served on white bread and topped with mashed potatoes and gravy ($8.99). It also comes with a choice of soup or salad.

Sunfield's menu has a little bit of everything. Other favorites are chicken Parmesan, the Tuscan shrimp linguine, the 12-ounce rib-eye steak garnished with onion rings, the homemade meatloaf, or a Monte Cristo sandwich (ham, turkey and Swiss on French toast). The restaurant serves up saganaki, which is flaming Fontinella cheese with fresh pita. Anyone who orders this grabs the attention of the dining room as the appetizer is lit on fire and the waiter or waitress bellows out "Opa!" The dessert menu is full of good stuff, such as the Boston creme pie, carrot cake, root beer floats, banana splits and sundaes. I opted for the Kentucky bourbon pecan pie ($4.99), which is best served up hot, a la mode.
