La Salle County coronavirus update: 39 new cases in Ottawa's ZIP elevates city's running total to 1,382

There have been four additional coronavirus-related deaths in La Salle County to bring that running total to 154, 100 new confirmed and probable cases to elevate that total to 6,912, and 64 new recoveries from the disease to raise that total to 4,218, the La Salle County Health Department reported Monday in its daily report.

There are currently 2,540 known, active cases in the county.

The deaths reported Monday included a man in his 80s, a woman in her 80s, a man in his 70s and a woman in her 60s.

From Nov. 28 to Dec. 4, La Salle County had a 13.5% seven-day positivity rate, a drop of 0.4% from the seven-day rate reported Sunday.

The IDPH's ZIP code data report (which sometimes lags behind county numbers), with increases since Friday, shows:

• Ottawa up 39 to 1,382

• Streator, also in Livingston County, up eight to 1,044

• Peru up five to 812

• Mendota up seven to 777

• La Salle up to 751

• Sandwich, also in DeKalb County, up seven to 704

• Marseilles up four to 476

• Sheridan up 13 to 339

• Oglesby up three to 324

• Seneca up four to 171

• Somonauk, also in DeKalb County, remains at 166

• Earlville up three to 129

• Utica up to 119

• Leland up eight to 94

• Wenona, also in Marshall County, up one to 64

• Grand Ridge remains at 57

• Tonica remains at 51

• Lostant remains at 44

• Millington, also in Kendall County, remains at 32

• Serena up one to 29

• Ransom remains at 23

• Rutland remains at 17

• Cedar Point remains at 14

• Dana remains at 12

• Troy Grove remains at seven

Two boys and one girl younger than 13, three boys and five girls in their teens, seven men and 13 women in their 20s, 11 men and five women in their 30s, three men and seven women in their 40s, seven men and 11 women in their 50s, four men and one woman in their 60s, one man and five women in their 70s, one man and nine women in their 80s, three women in their 90s and one woman in her 100s made up Monday's new cases.
