Weekly Bureau County COVID report: 226 new cases, 14 deaths

PRINCETON — From Nov. 26-Dec. 4, Bureau, Putnam, Marshall County Health Departments reported 226 new COVID-19 cases in Bureau County.

During this time, 14 COVID-19 related deaths were reported in Bureau County and one death was reported in Marshall County. The victims included seven men — one in his 60s, four men in their 70s, one in his 80s and one in his 90s; and seven women — one in her 70s, four in their 80s and two in their 90s.

To date, there have been 55 COVID-19 deaths reported in Bureau County. There have been six deaths in Marshall County and zero deaths in Putnam County.

Bureau County cities and villages that have reported more than six cases since the start of the pandemic: Princeton: 775 cases; 7,663 tested; Spring Valley: 478 cases; 5,239 tested; DePue: 156 cases; 617 tested; Walnut: 115 cases; 1,178 tested; Tiskilwa: 71 cases; 587 tested; Wyanet: 70 cases; 575 tested; Sheffield: 73 cases; 634 tested; LaMoille: 88 cases; 624 tested; Ohio: 56 cases; 441 tested; Manlius: 20 cases; 170 tested; Ladd: 90 cases; 571 tested; Cherry: 26 cases; 184 tested; Arlington: 25; 181 tested; Malden: 25 cases; 206 tested; Seatonville: 24 cases; 143 tested; Buda: 53 cases; 390 tested; Neponset: 39 cases; 306 tested; Mineral: 12 cases; 130 tested; Bureau: 17 cases; 138 tested; and Dalzell: 22 cases; 251 tested.

There have been a total of 2,292 cases of COVID-19 in Bureau County as of Dec. 4 since the start of the pandemic.
