DeKALB – Less than 15 minutes after sending a citywide alert about an armed robbery, DeKalb police reported Thursday they've detained multiple people involved in the incident at Marathon gas station on Sycamore Road.
According to a citywide alert test sent around 7:55 p.m. Thursday, police located a white Chevrolet Malibu with those suspected to be linked to the armed robbery. An initial alert was sent around 7:45 p.m. warning the public about the incident and asking them to be alert for the suspected vehicle.
The incident is reported to have occured at the Marathon gas station, 1734 Sycamore Road in DeKalb, though it's unknown at this time what weapon was used, if anyone was injured or what was stolen.
Names of those arrested and charges have also not yet been released.
