An artist call has gone out from the St. Charles Arts Council to create a photo exhibit capturing the year 2020 called "Coping with COVID: Images of Comfort and Joy."
"How did you survive 2020?" asks the council in a news release. "Were there unique moments? Life milestone moments? Share them with our arts community by submitting photos to be displayed in a virtual gallery on the St. Charles Arts Council website and on social media this December."
The entry fee is $40 for nonmembers, $30 for members, (free to Artist Members), the release stated. Enter up to two photographs of something or someone that helped you survive the pandemic of 2020. You are encouraged to include up to three lines (maximum) explaining the significance of your photo.
Submit photographs in jpg format to artistliaison@stcharlesartscouncil.org by Nov. 30. Visit stcharlesartscouncil.org and click on the donate button to become a member or pay registration fee. Artist Members are free and need only submit their photos after joining. The Arts Council reserves the right to jury entries to ensure they are family friendly.

In separate news, the St. Charles Arts Council notes it is seeking donations – large or small – to help it fulfill its commitment to support culture, artists and arts organizations in the community.
