The Batavia Overseas VFW and Auxiliary VFW Post 1197 will present the second annual Fall Family Festival on Saturday, Oct. 24, with a lineup of live music, games, contests and food.
The community festivities will kick off with pumpkin decorating from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a contest judged by Fire Chief Randy Deicke at 11:30 a.m., a news release stated.
On display will be an emergency and military vehicle Touch a Truck/Rodeo from 9 a.m. to noon.
Freshly smoked pulled pork barbecue and sides will be offered all day after 11 a.m.; the requested donation is $10 a plate with a drink for adults, or $5 for children younger than 8.
A corn hole contest and 50/50 raffle begin at noon. Starting at 1 p.m. will be kids games such as sack race and egg on spoon, along with a costume contest.
A street taco tent will open at 6 p.m.
Offered all day will be free horseshoes and corn hole games, along with VFW tours and a membership table.
"There is a path to membership for everyone; ask us how," invites the organization in the release.

• 8 p.m.: Good time rock and roll and country by Rob Russo & the Loose Screws
The VFW offers more than 6 acres on which to socially distance. Guests are encouraged to bring comfy chairs and blankets, and friendly dogs on leashes are welcome.
The post is at 645 S. River Road (Route 25). No outside alcohol or food will be allowed at the event.
