Filmmaker Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes of the '90s comedic duo Jay and Silent Bob will bring their live podcast show to the McHenry Outdoor Theater.
The two comedians will come to McHenry on Sunday, Nov. 1, as part of a tour celebrating the 10th anniversary of their podcast, "Jay & Silent Bob Get Old," according to a press release.
Smith and Mewes became popular as an on-screen comedic duo back in 1994 with the indie film "Clerks" and starred together in the 2001 parody, "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back." The pair has a new comedy, "Jay and Silent Bob Reboot," which is set to come out Oct. 15.
Mewes is also known for his appearances in "Mallrats," "Chasing Amy," "Dogma," "Clerks II" and "Zack and Miri Make a Porno." He was awarded MTV's Dirtiest Mouth Award in 2007, according to the press release.
The McHenry Outdoor Theater parking lot will open at 5 p.m. Nov. 1 and the event will begin at 6 p.m. Vehicle entry tickets will be sold for $100 for one person, $125 for two people, $150 for three and $250 for four, according to the release.
Additional tickets can be purchased for $34.99 per person, but no more than six people will be permitted per car. Tickets are on sale now at seetickets.us.
Outside food and beverages will be allowed. Anyone attending the event must follow COVID-19 safety guidelines around social distancing and must remain in their vehicle, truck bed or in the allotted space provided with their parking spot, according to the release.
