Riverfront Playhouse in Aurora to stage outdoor performances of fairy tale classics

The Riverfront Playhouse in Aurora will present "Little Red Riding Hood" and "Hansel and Gretel" outdoors for two weekends in October.

Riverfront Playhouse is at 11-13 Water Street Mall. Performances begin at 11 a.m. Saturdays, Oct. 17 and 24, and at 2 p.m. Sundays, Oct. 18 and 25.

Audience members are reminded to dress appropriately for an outdoor event and to wear a mask. Social distancing will be observed.

"This event will not be canceled in the event of the plague, pestilence, poisoned apples, or evil stepmothers. Rain, however, is a deal-breaker," organizers announced in a news release.
