Grant Foes selected as Princeton High School SAR recipient

PRINCETON — Grant Foes, the son of Dan and Bridget Foes, has been selected as the Class of 2021 Princeton High School Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) Outstanding Citizen Award winner. This award is sponsored by the Captain Zeally Moss-Illinois Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.

The SAR Outstanding Citizen Award is presented to a student in recognition of high ideals of character and citizenship. Foes was selected for this honor by the faculty and his classmates.

Throughout high school, Foes has been involved in football, track, basketball, golf, FFA and Year One. He has earned the honors of National Honor Society, First Class, high honor roll, football captain, co-BCR Football Player of the Year, multiple all-conference awards in football and track, multiple conference championships in football and track, academic all-conference, Peoria Journal Star prep all star team for football, News Tribune and BCR all-area teams for football and track, PHS Thrower of the Year, FFA officer- sentinel, FFA officer-vice president. He has volunteered in various organizations, including Princeton Shootout basketball tournaments, PIT tournament, helping a local business decorate for Christmas, and various areas of the Princeton Homestead Festival, including the kids’ pedal pull and taking down the food tent. His future plans include attending a four-year university to play football and pursue a major in secondary education.
