Two-day Oktoberfest revels to color weekend in Crystal Lake

It's time for "Prost" toasts at The Quarry Cable Park’s annual Oktoberfest in Crystal Lake.

The two-day event will start at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2. The venue has been transformed into a German beer garden with live music, cold beer and delicious German fare, organizers announced.

"Grab your fall coat Friday evening and enjoy Brother John Kattke’s quintet from 6 to 9 p.m.," they invite.

The Brother John Quintet will feature a mix of traditional Chicago blues and other musical styles. The event offers seating on the outdoor patios and in indoor spaces.

Saturday's entertainment will feature Jimmy Marquis from noon to 3 p.m.
