Rachel M. Hicks, 38, Kimberly A. Haws, 34, and Jessica E. McGregory, 41, all of 824 Fourth St., Peru were charged with retail theft at 10:02 p.m. Friday at Walmart, Peru police said.

Aracely J. Nunez, 42, of 411 Pulaski St., Spring Valley was charged with retail theft at 5:26 p.m. Saturday at All About Eyes, Peru police said.

Kyle J. Lungwitz, 20, of 728 LaHarpe St., La Salle was charged with driving while suspended at 2:01 a.m. Saturday at Walnut Street and Columbia Avenue, Oglesby police said.

Bryan Blankenship, 38, of 2823 E. 2282nd Road, Serena was picked up at 5:41 p.m. Sunday at 821 U.S. 34 in Plano on an Illinois Department of Corrections warrant for a parole violation, La Salle County Sheriff's Office said. Police said Blankenship also has a pending charge for aggravated domestic battery.

Nathan Monacelli, 36, of 2558 N. 3653rd Road, Building J, unit 396, Mission Township (also listed in Kankakee) was charged with domestic battery at 10:27 p.m. Sunday at his residence, La Salle County Sheriff's Office said.

DeKalb County Sheriff's Office is investigating a hit-and-run accident in which two Earlville motorists were struck but not injured at 12:05 p.m. Sunday at West County Line Road and Houghtby Road.
Nathan Detemple and his passenger, Naomi Detemple, both of 658 Ogee Road, Earlville told police they were southbound on West County Line Road when Nathan swerved to avoid a northbound vehicle traveling in the middle of the road, police said. The Detemple vehicle was forced into a ditch, where it struck a utility pole and overturned, police said.
The suspect vehicle was described as a dark-colored Jeep. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at (815) 895-2155.

Peru police said a vehicle driven by Ruddy Gutierrez, 41, of 119 First St., La Salle almost struck a squad car at 12:12 a.m. Saturday at Fifth and Orleans streets near Westclox and he subsequently was charged with improper lane usage, speeding, driving in the wrong lane and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Timothy J. Ksiazkiewicz, 57, of 362 N. 2629th Road, Oglesby was charged with speeding, improper lane usage and driving under the influence of alcohol at 7:47 p.m. Friday at Fourth and Farm streets, Peru, according to Peru police.
