Country singer Chris Janson to play the Egyptian

DeKALB – Platinum-selling country artist Chris Janson will take the stage at the Egyptian Theatre in February.

The award-winning singer/songwriter will perform at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 29.

In the four years since the release of his debut album, the three-time CMA nominee and five-time ACM nominee has collected prestigious accolades that place him among country music's greats. His hits include "Buy Me a Boat," "Fix a Drink" and "Drunk Girl."

Janson released his new album, "Real Friends," in October. "Good Vibes," the flagship single from the new album, recently became his third No. 1 on country radio.

Tickets for the DeKalb show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. Tickets are $39.50 to $85 and offer a $5 discount for students and seniors age 65 and older. They can be purchased at the Egyptian Theatre box office during box office hours, 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday, online at www.egyptiantheatre.org or by calling the box office at 815-758-1225.
