KASBEER — Phyllis Turner, 86, of Kasbeer passed away Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 16, 1931, in Macomb to Glenn R. and Mary C. (Lybarger) Hamm. She married Lester W. Turner on Nov. 12, 1950, in Henry.
Phyllis attended nursing school, retired from GTE and also retired from Walmart.
She was a member of the Christian Women's Club, Bureau County Genealogical Society, Kids Klub and Princeton Bible Church. She enjoyed baking, sewing, knitting and crocheting, gardening, reading and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her nine children, Catherine (Larry) Emmett, Audrey (Michael) Bullington, Steven (Kris) Turner, Angela Turner, Sandra Turpen, Philip (Lisa) Turner, Melody (Billie) Sissel, Norma (Vaughn) Treco and Kendall (Lori) Turner; 21 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are five sisters-in-law, Ida Turner, Ruth Turner, Clara Turner, Janet Turner and Mary Hamm; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Ronald, in infancy; twin sisters in infancy; one brother, Everett Hamm; three sisters-in-law, Mae Barker, Clara McLane and LaVerne Turner; and her brothers-in-law, Willis, James, Mark, Leland and Donald Turner, Jake Barker and Virgil McLane.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, at the Princeton Bible Church in Princeton with Pastor Justin Bullington officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, at the Norberg Memorial Home in Princeton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Princeton Christian Academy.
